Glacier and Bonner's Ferry!

Andrew here again. Its been a while since we last did a post so we decided to do a combined post of the past few days. So here we go:
Similar to Yellowstone, we departed early in the morning around 3 am to glacier national park. After the gorgeous mountain drive, we arrived at the Many Glacier campsite. Because our tent had been ruined in Yellowstone, Connor and I mocked up a tent out of a line strung up between two trees and two tarps. The end product turned out pretty well.....until we realized that we were in an occupied site and had to move.  Oh well, we moved and slept through the night. The next day we hiked to iceberg lake. 4.9 miles later we arrived at the lake.....and then jumped into the 38 degree water. As you can imagine it was mind-numbingly cold. The next day, we discovered that glacier was due for some torrential rain, flooding, and quarter-sized hail. Because our tent was not exactly up to the task of protecting us, we had to leaved glacier early. We found our way to the lovely home Cecil and Serene Stephens in Bonners Ferry. We were surrounded by good food, good people,......and good guns! .22's, a 7mm magnum, and (to our excitement) a Taurus Judge, capable of chambering a .45 colt, or .410 shotgun round. Needless to say, we were quite content.  We spent the next few days riding around on quads and three wheelers, shooting cans and hunting squirrels.  We also went to see a large waterfall and huge swinging rope bridge which was extremely exciting.
We ended up bagging ourselves 5 squirrels and a couple birds.  The stay was capped off by an incredible dry lightning storm the last night that we watched from the glass sun room for about an hour. 
 Quite a way to end a great stop on the trip!
