Belated Pictures

Sorry about the late pictures, its been a hectic past few days.  Anyway, pictures of the trip to Idaho Falls!

To Yellowstone... and Farther

Today was a long day, got up at 2 am and drove 3 hours to reach the park before the lines formed.  After a tricky drive we made it to the park only to find that every campsite was full, but we persevered and got a spot by waiting in line.  We set up our tent, and slept for a few hours.  After a good nap we took a short hike to Norris Geyser Basin to see the geothermal hot spots which was very interesting.  After getting back we began to make dinner, but at the same time a thunderstorm started making the task very taxing.  After eating dinner we discovered that our tent was flooded and decided to pack everything up again to save it from the rain.  While doing this we checked the forecast and discovered that there were thunderstorms forecasted for the next 4 days and decided to relocate to a hotel.  We drove a few hours to the not so near by town of Bozman, Montana only to find every hotel in the city booked.  It would appear that the entire state of Montana decided to visit Bozman the same time we did.  But thanks to some help from Mr. and Mrs. Kneppers, we were able to locate a motel in the nearby small town of Three Forks, Montana.  Not the ideal way for this day to have unfolded, but it sure was adventurous.

Salt Lake!

Today was a good day!  Got out of Wendover for one thing, went to the the Bonneville Salt Flats, the Great Salt Lake, and have a nice comfy hotel again.  Tomorrow, to Idaho Falls! 

Well today was a good day, drove across Nevada and saw some mountains, but we're happy to be out of that state. Tomorrow, Salt Lake!
